Desiree Lewis Ricondo Injured in Alleged DWI Accident in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — April 20, 2023, Desiree Lewis Ricondo was injured as the result of an alleged intoxicated driving accident at 11:01 p.m. on Foster Road.

Preliminary details provided by authorities indicate that the crash took place in the area of Foster Road and U.S. Highway 87.

According to investigators, 35-year-old Desiree Lewis Ricondo was driving a BMW along the northbound lanes of Foster Road. It appears that a Chevy Suburban was going southbound in those northbound lanes, resulting in the two vehicles colliding head-on with each other.

Due to the severity of the collision, Ricondo was said to have incapacitating injuries. It's unclear at this time if the other driver was injured. That driver, currently unidentified, was allegedly driving while intoxicated due to alcohol, according to authorities. Current information suggests the driver may have left a local establishment after drinking just prior to the collision.

Statements from authorities currently show there are recommendations for a charge of intoxication assault against that driver. Additional details surrounding these events cannot be confirmed at this time.
