Larry Flores Jr. Killed, Melissa Flores Injured in Car Accident in Hidalgo County, TX

Hidalgo County, TX — April 22, 2023, Larry Flores Jr. was killed and Melissa Flores was injured following a two car accident on Mile 6 Road.

Initial details provided by authorities say that the crash took place at approximately 2:35 a.m. along North Mile 6 Road at the intersection of West Mile 14 1/2 Road.

From officials, it appears that 51-year-old Larry Flores Jr. and 46-year-old Melissa Flores were in a Dodge Avenger that was traveling eastbound along Mile 14 1/2 Road. At the intersection of Mile 6 Road, it appears the Dodge and a Mercury Mariner that was going northbound on Mile 6 collided with one another.

Due to the collision, Larry Flores sustained injuries which ultimately proved to be fatal. Melissa Flores and the unidentified driver of the Mercury were said to have non-incapacitating injuries. While this has yet to be confirmed, details from authorities suggest there may have been charges of DWI considered for the driver of the Mercury. Additional details are necessary to confirm anything further about the fatal wreck.
