Three Injured in Alleged Drunk Driving Accident on I-30 in Arlington, TX

Arlington, TX — April 23, 2023, three people were injured by an alleged drunk driver around 3:32 a.m. on Interstate 30 in Arlington.

Sources report the alleged drunk driver was in a 2010 Honda Civic, carrying two passengers, traveling eastbound on I-30 when he allegedly failed to control his speed and rear-ended a 2007 Honda Civic, also going east.

The collision reportedly forced the 2007 Honda Civic to rotate clockwise and come to a stop facing south in the middle lane. The 2010 Honda Civic allegedly came to a stop facing northeast in the far left lane.

Officials report the driver in the 2007 Civic suffered serious injuries, the two passengers in the 2010 Civic suffered minor injuries, and the driver of the 2010 Civic was uninjured. The three victims were taken to a hospital.

Police recommended charging the 2010 Civic driver with Driving While Intoxicated.
