Initial details about the crash say that a Subaru Forester was traveling southbound along with several other vehicles. Authorities believe that a vehicle ahead of the Subaru stopped, apparently to change lanes toward an exit. As a result, the Subaru driver stopped to avoid a collision. A Jeep Wrangler swerved to about a different vehicle involved, but it crashed into a tractor trailer in the middle lane.

For reasons unclear, the 18-wheeler and the Subaru also collided. As a result, the Subaru driver, a 66-year-old Beaumont woman was said to have incapacitating injuries. The Jeep driver and the truck driver may have been injured, but this has not yet been confirmed.

It's unclear if authorities have the identity of the driver that stopped in order to change lanes. No charges or citations have been reported, and no further information is available.
