Tabitha Holmbeck Killed, Eddie Casares, Christy Baker Casares Injured in Car Accident in Montgomery County, TX

Montgomery County, TX — April 5, 2023, Tabitha Holmbeck was killed and Eddie Casares and Christy Baker Casares were injured in a car accident at 9:05 p.m. on F.M. 1485.

Preliminary details provided by authorities say that the crash happened near the intersection of Pinebrook Drive.

According to statements from officials, 25-year-old Tabitha Holmbeck was the driver of a Toyota Corolla traveling westbound along F.M. 1485. For reasons unconfirmed at this time, Holmbeck's vehicle crashed with another westbound vehicle, causing the Toyota to overturn and go into oncoming traffic. There, an eastbound Ford F-150 said to be driven by 46-year-old Eddie Casares collided with the Toyota, as well.

Due to the severity of the crash, Holmbeck succumbed to fatal injuries. Casares and his passenger, Christy Baker Casares, had injuries described as incapacitating. No one else was said to be hurt. At this time, authorities have not given any further information to confirm he cause of the crash.
