Driver Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident on Long Island Expressway near Jericho, NY

Nassau County, NY — May 8, 2023, a driver sustained injuries as the result of a tractor-trailer accident at around 6:17 a.m. along the Long Island Expressway.

Initial details released by police officials indicate that the incident took place along the westbound lanes of the expressway near Exit 41N, which is the interchange for North Broadway (Highway 106).

In preliminary statements, officials said that a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer were going along the Long Island Expressway when the vehicles somehow crossed paths. As a result of the collision, the driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to an area hospital. Their injuries were described as minor. At this time, no other injuries were reported. The exact factors leading up to the collision are still under investigations at this time.
