Samuel Martinez Rodriguez Killed in Alleged Hit-and-run Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — May 10, 2023, Samuel Martinez Rodriguez was killed due to an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 3:40 a.m. on Brittmoore Road.

Harris County officials released information about the deadly accident which says it happened just off the corner of Brittmoore Road and Hammerly Boulevard. This appears to be just west of the Sam Houston Tollway.

Details suggest that a man, identified as 27-year-old Samuel Martinez Rodriguez, may have been attempting to cross the street at the time. While on the roadway, a Nissan Frontier struck Rodriguez. This ultimately resulted in Rodriguez succumbing to fatal injuries.

The driver of the Nissan allegedly left the scene of the accident, but authorities say they took that driver into custody. At this time, details show there is a pending criminal charge for failure to stop and render aid. No further information about the deadly accident can be confirmed right now.
