Angela Ramirez Killed in Hit-and-run Accident in Amarillo, TX

Amarillo, TX — May 10, 2023, Angela Ramirez was killed as the result of a hit-and-run accident that happened at around 9:00 p.m. on Amarillo Boulevard.

Preliminary details provided by authorities with the Amarillo Police Department indicate that the incident happened on a stretch of road off the corner of Amarillo Boulevard and North Eastern Street.

According to initial information, 55-year-old Angela Ramirez was on the roadway for unclear reasons. Somehow, authorities believe that an initial collision occurred involving a white car. That vehicle then apparently left the scene. A second vehicle came along some time later, struck Ramirez, then stopped and called for emergency services.

Ramirez sustained fatal injuries as a result of the incident. No others were said to have been harmed. Authorities continue to search for the driver that allegedly left the scene. Additional details are pending continued investigations, and authorities encourage anyone with information to come forward to assist in their search.
