Their statements indicate that a 53-year-old Saginaw man was in a Volvo tractor-trailer going along northbound lanes of the highway. For reasons which are not confirmed at this time, the 18-wheeler ran off the right side of the road. Weather conditions were rainy, details suggest. The tractor-trailer hit the guardrail on its way off-road before then crashing into an embankment.

The Saginaw man had injuries which were deemed to be incapacitating. It does not appear that anyone else was involved in the crash. Police did not provide information regarding things such as seatbelt usage, mechanical failures, tire conditions, other vehicles that may have been involved, or potential cargo shifts. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable.
