Javier Emanuel Dejesus Sayers Injured in Truck Accident in Cedar Park, TX

UPDATE (May 16, 2023): Additional information released by authorities identified the injured worker as 25-year-old Javier Dejesus Sayers. Additional details are unavailable at this time.

Cedar Park, TX — April 28, 2023, a worker sustained injuries as the result of a commercial truck accident at around 10:43 a.m. along County Road 180.

Investigators said that they were called to the area of County Road 180 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard.

The victim was identified only as a 25-year-old man that had been on the back of the commercial truck involved in the accident. Authorities believe that the truck driver, a co-worker of the victim, thought the coast was clear as they attempted to back up the truck. While backing up, however, the truck hit the 25-year-old man, causing injuries to his feet.

In current statements, the worker's injuries were described as incapacitating by authorities. No other workers appeared to have been injured. Right now, it's unclear if OSHA has taken steps to address the situation, and additional factors surrounding the accident have yet to be confirmed.
