Man Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Alameda Avenue in El Paso, TX

El Paso, TX — April 24, 2023, a man sustained injuries as the result of an accident involving a semi-truck at around 2:21 p.m. along Alameda Avenue.

Authorities released preliminary information about the crash stemming from their initial investigations. Their statements say the crash occurred near the intersection of Alameda Avenue and S. Americas Road.

According to officials, a 72-year-old man was walking at the time and reportedly attempted to cross the roadway. The man crossed in front of a tractor-trailer that reportedly had been waiting for a red light to change. Details say when the light changed, the tractor-trailer moved forward, hitting the pedestrian. The truck continued driving, but a witness flagged down the driver, and they stopped.

The man hit by the truck was said to have incapacitating injuries due to the collision. No one else was hurt. Right now, additional details about the incident can't be confirmed. No further information is currently available.
