Jose Bonilla Carcamo Killed in Work Accident on Pech Road in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — January 13, 2023, Jose Bonilla Carcamo was fatally injured due to a work fall accident at a business along Pech Road.

Authorities with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration reported that the incident occurred at 2035 Pech Road Unit G. The company named in the public statement is "Aire[sic] Max Enterprises Llc."

According to the OSHA statements, 45-year-old Jose Bonilla Carcamo was working in the area of a skylight when, for reasons which were not specified, Carcamo fell through the skylight. Due to the fall, Carcama sustained ultimately fatal injuries. The reports do not mention anyone else being injured.

While the exact cause of the incident remains unclear, the OSHA report lists six alleged rule violations. All but one of them were labeled as "serious" citations. There is a listed "Current Penalty" of $11,386, but the status of that recommended penalty is not clear at this time. OSHA lists the case status as open, and further information is pending continued investigations.
