Oneyda Rivas Injured in Truck Accident on Bissonnet in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — April 20, 2023, Oneyda Rivas was injured as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 12:15 p.m. along Bissonnet Street.

Preliminary details released by authorities indicate that the crash happened at the intersection of Bissonnet Street and Sam Houston Parkway.

According to officials, 63-year-old Oneyda Rivas was in a Nissan XTerra traveling westbound along Bissonnet Street. While crossing the Sam Houston Parkway intersection, the Nissan crashed into the side of a tractor-trailer that was going southbound through the intersection. Authorities say that both drivers claimed that the other ran the light, and they did not confirm one way or the other what they believe happened.

As a result of the crash, Rivas had injuries believed to be incapacitating. No other injuries were reported. Right now, no further information about the crash can be confirmed.
