Guillermo Gutierrez Injured in Firetruck Accident in Harris County, TX

Harris County, TX — April 23, 2023, Guillermo Gutierrez was injured due to a firetruck accident at around 3:07 a.m. along the East Freeway.

Preliminary details from officials indicate that the incident happened in the area of I-10 and Sheldon Road.

They say the crash took place on a portion of eastbound lanes of the freeway that was being blocked by a firetruck. Details suggest the truck had its flashing lights on at the time. While it was blocking the right lanes, officials say that Chevy Silverado crashed into the firetruck.

23-year-old Guillermo Gutierrez was said to be a passenger in the Chevy at the time of the crash. Gutierrez sustained injuries believed to be incapacitating. The driver of the Chevy reportedly was not hurt. No other injuries were confirmed, either.

At this time, information from Harris County officials suggests the crash may have been the result of intoxicated driving. This and other details have not yet been confirmed.
