Mansfield, TX — August 10, 2021, Gregory Thomas sustained fatal injuries as the result of a work accident along Woodland Drive.

Investigators with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration released preliminary details about the accident in a public accident summary. It seems the incident occurred at 8 Woodland Drive, just off the corner of U.S. 287 and Turner Warnell Road.

OSHA details, along with information from Tarrant County officials, suggest that 62-year-old Gregory Thomas was working with a table router and a handheld router while cutting trim. Officials said that the handheld tool somehow fell and "caused a puncture injury" to Thomas's foot. The OSHA summary suggests Thomas walked to a truck after this, but his injuries ultimately proved fatal. Right now, further details surrounding the accident itself are unavailable.

OSHA statements listed two alleged violations stemming from their investigations. The public statements included a possible recommended penalty of $2,809. No further information about the fatal accident can be confirmed at this time.
