Austin Slider, Teen Killed, Michael Robinson, Christopher Robinson Injured in Truck Accident near Cumberland, MD

Allegany County, MD — May 7, 2023, Austin Robert Slider and a teenager were killed after a truck accident that happened at around 4:30 p.m. on Route 51.

According to preliminary details provided by Allegany County officials indicate that the incident happened in the area of State Route 51 and Cresap Mill Road east of Cumberland.

Police investigators at this time are saying that 21-year-old Austin Robert Slider and a 15-year-old boy were in a vehicle traveling in the area. Due to a series of events not currently confirmed, their vehicle and a truck pulling a trailer somehow collided along Route 51.

Due to the collision, Both Slider and his 15-year-old passenger sustained injuries that proved fatal. Two people from the truck were said to be in stable condition after the crash. Current reports identify them as 33-year-old Michael Robinson and 41-year-old Christopher Robinson.

Additional details regarding what may have caused the crash are unavailable at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
