Tyler, TX — May 4, 2023, some injuries were sustained after a commercial truck overturned in the early morning on Hwy. 79 in Tyler.

According to authorities, a multi-vehicle wreck at the border of Rusk and Cherokee County resulted in a semi-truck overturning. Current reports suggest the sky was still dark, the road was dry, the crash occurred in a no-passing zone, and the semi-truck tractor fell onto its driver side partially in both lanes of traffic.

Sources report several police vehicles and an ambulance responded to the accident scene and that medics began treating people, but it is unclear how many people were injured. Additionally, officials have not said how severe the injuries were, how many vehicles were involved, or how the crash occurred.
