One Injured in Truck Accident on Route 30 in Whiteside County, IL

Whiteside County, IL — May 3, 2023, one person was injured in a collision with a tractor-trailer around 1:07 p.m. on Route 30 in Whiteside County.

Sources report a semi-truck was attempting a left turn from eastbound Route 30 to travel north on Industrial Park Road when it was allegedly rear-ended by an eastbound Ford Ranger. The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 17-year-old, reportedly suffered serious injuries. He was initially taken by motor vehicle to a medical center but then was airlifted to a hospital in Rockford, IL.

Officials have not released if the truck driver suffered any injuries, the condition of the 17-year-old, or what factors may have caused this accident.
