Kamale Aliyeva, Larissa Abassoba Killed, Alla Fedosova, Eduard Edelshteyn Injured in Truck Accident in Big Flats, NY

Big Flats, NY — April 23, 2023, Kamale Aliyeva and Larissa Abassoba were killed and Alla Fedosova and Eduard Edelshteyn were injured in a truck accident around 6:30 p.m. on I-86 in Big Flats.

According to authorities, Edelshteyn's vehicle was headed westbound when it somehow veered across several traffic lanes and collided with a disabled tractor-trailer that was on the north side shoulder.

Ms. Aliyeva and Ms. Abassoba suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the accident scene. Ms. Fedosova and Mr. Edelshteyn were reportedly taken to a hospital with injuries.

Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
