Christopher R. Johnson Killed in Hit-and-run Accident on I-35 in San Antonio, TX

UPDATE (May 15, 2023): Details provided by authorities indicate that the man killed in the fatal accident was 22-year-old Christopher R. Johnson. Others involved were not identified, and additional details are unavailable.

San Antonio, TX — April 28, 2023, a pedestrian was fatally injured due to a suspected hit-and-run accident at around 1:30 a.m. along Interstate 35.

Investigators reported that they were called to the lower level of southbound I-35 in the area of Brooklyn Avenue.

Their statements said that a man, who has not yet been identified in public reports, was walking at the time. That man apparently attempted to cross the interstate. While doing so, authorities say a vehicle struck the man, then left the scene of the accident.

Due to the collision, the victim succumbed to fatal injuries. No others were said to be involved. At this time, there is no clear description for a suspect vehicle. Authorities say that they're continuing to look the driver involved in the deadly accident, and charges may be pending.
