Mason Gorman, Bryce Korhonen Killed, Jason Bennett, 2 Injured in Head-on Accident on U.S. 59 in Sugar Land, TX

UPDATE (May 19, 2023): Public information from the authorities identified victims involved in the deadly wreck. The two victims killed due to the accident were 18-year-old Mason Gorman and 19-year-old Bryce Korhonen, who were in the same vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was 46-year-old Jason Bennett, who was said to have incapacitating injuries. A 12-year-odl and a 5-year-old in Bennett's vehicle also reportedly had incapacitating injuries. Details have yet to confirm the factors leading up to the crash.

Sugar Land, TX — April 30, 2023, two people were killed and three were injured following a head-on car accident at around 4:00 a.m. on U.S. Highway 59.

Investigators with the Sugar Land Police Department said they were called out to the southbound lanes of U.S. 59 in the area of U.S. Highway 90A, just off Sugar Creek Boulevard.

Preliminary details about the accident suggest there may have been a Toyota Tacoma traveling in the wrong direction along southbound lanes. Doing so, the Tacoma and a Chevy Silverado crashed head-on into each other.

The collision resulted in two men losing their lives. The victims were not identified at the time of writing. Another man and two children were also injured in the crash. That man and one of the children had to be flown from the scene due to their injuries. Right now, further information regarding the cause of the wreck is unavailable.
