Daniel Hoffman II Killed in Motorcycle Accident in The Colony, TX

The Colony, TX — April 19, 2023, Daniel Hoffman II was killed as the result of a motorcycle accident at around 2:30 a.m. along Highway 121.

Preliminary details about the accident released by The Colony Fire Department and Tarrant County officials say that it took place in the 6000 block of the Highway 121 access road, near Legacy Drive.

According to officials, 28-year-old Daniel Hoffman was on a motorcycle traveling along the northbound access road. Ahead, a police vehicle was stationary as the officer assisted another motorist. While doing so, Hoffman's motorcycle somehow crashed into the police vehicle, ejecting him from the bike.

Due to the collision, Hoffman sustained injuries that ultimately proved fatal. Reports at this time do not say that anyone else was hurt in the collision. Details suggest that the officer's vehicle had its emergency lights activated, however they did not give any additional details surrounding the fatal crash. No further information is available at this time.
