Timothy Minor Killed in Tractor-Trailer Accident in Hardin County, KY

Hardin County, KY — April 22, 2023, Timothy Minor was fatally injured due to a tractor-trailer accident at around 3:30 a.m. along I-65.

Investigators with the Hardin County Sheriff's Department released initial details about the fatal wreck, which they say happened just north of Elizabethtown along southbound lanes of the interstate.

Initial details about the deadly wreck say that Timothy D. Minor, from Louisville, was in a Chevy Malibu traveling southbound on I-65. For reasons which remain unclear, the Chevy Malibu came to a stop in the middle of the road. Authorities believe that the vehicle might not have had its lights on following this. As the vehicle sat in the center lane, police say that a southbound tractor-trailer failed to avoid the car, crashing into it.

The collision resulted in Minor sustained fatal injuries. Current statements do not list anyone else as being injured. Right now, Hardin County Sheriff's Office investigators have yet to release possible factors contributing to the crash, including whether or not Timothy Minor's vehicle may have experienced some kind of mechanical failure. Additional details are pending the ongoing investigations.
