Pharr, TX — April 26, 2023, a pedestrian was killed due to an 18-wheeler accident early Wednesday along the I-2 Frontage Road.

Local authorities gave initial details about the fatal truck accident. Their details say the collision happened along the I-2 frontage road just off the intersection of Business 83.

According to statements about the incident, an unidentified 59-year-old man was walking at the time. As the man attempted to walk across the interstate frontage road, an 18-wheeler did not avoid him, striking the man in the roadway. That man sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. No other injuries were reported by officials.

Reports indicate that the 18-wheeler remained at the scene, and the driver spoke with police investigators. At this time, there is no indication that charges or citations are pending.
