Four Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Nueces Street in Austin, TX

Austin, TX — April 25, 2023, four people sustained injuries due to a pedestrian accident which happened just before midnight along Nueces Street.

Preliminary details about the incident have been released by officials with Austin-Travis County EMS. Their initial statements say that the collision happened in the West Campus are at Nueces Street and West 24th Street, just off Guadalupe Street.

Right now, exact information about what led up to the collision is unclear. ATCEMS officials said that a vehicle somehow struck at least four people who were walking in the roadway. Of those four pedestrians, at least two of them were said to have serious injuries. The conditions of the other two weren't specified. It appears they refused transport from the scene.

Details about the driver involved in the collision are unclear at this time. Police officials have not said if they plan to file charges or citations. It's unclear if alcohol played any kind of role in the collision. Right now, investigations are ongoing.
