Kristin Vandersyde Killed in Truck Accident on I-96 in Berlin Township, MI

Berlin Township, MI — April 10, 2023, Kristin Vandersyde was killed in a collision with a semi-truck around 10:08 p.m. on I-96 in Berlin Township.

Officials report the victim's eastbound Silverado left the road, struck a cable barrier, entered the road, and collided with a semi-truck. They have not released what direction the semi-truck was traveling, but they do not believe drug or alcohol use to be the cause of the accident.

Ms. Vandersyde suffered fatal injuries. Authorities have not said if the truck driver was injured or uninjured.

The cause of the crash requires further investigation.
