Their initial statements say that a motorcyclist was going along the highway. At the same time, a semi-trailer entered the highway. Details say the truck went into the path of the motorcycle, and the motorcycle crashed into the semi-truck.

This threw the rider off the bike while the motorcycle was dragged by the truck. The motorcycle rider, identified only as an Atmore man, was taken to a hospital in apparently critical condition. No one else was hurt. Authorities say they're continuing to look into the factors surrounding the crash. Initial statements say that the motorcycle's headlight may have been off at the time of the crash, but this has not yet been confirmed.
