Melanie Deaeth Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 105 in Washington County, TX

UPDATE (May 15, 2023): Details from authorities identified the woman injured in the crash as 60-year-old Melanie Deaeth. No further information is available at this time.

Washington County, TX — April 22, 2023, a woman sustained injuries due to a motorcycle accident at around 8:30 p.m. along Highway 105.

Investigations said that the incident happened between the towns of Navasota and Brenham.

According to preliminary information from authorities, a woman was on a motorcycle traveling along the highway. While traveling along the highway, authorities claim that a Ford F-150 pickup failed to yield to the motorcyclist. As a result, the motorcycle and the pickup crashed into one another.

The motorcyclist was said to have serious injuries as a result of the crash. It's unclear at this time if the woman was wearing a helmet or any other kind of safety equipment. No other injuries were mentioned in initial reports. Texas Department of Public Safety officials have yet to give additional details as their investigations are ongoing.
