One Injured in Truck Accident on I-57 in Cook County, IL

Cook County, IL — April 7, 2023, one was injured in a two-vehicle truck accident around about 4:15 p.m. on Interstate 57 in Cook County.

Authorities have released very few details regarding this accident. A semi-truck reportedly collided with a passenger vehicle while in the left lane. the collision purportedly sent the passenger car off the road into an embankment and the semi-truck overturned. One person was reported y taken to a hospital with minor injuries, however, it is not clear what vehicle the victim was in.

The cause of the crash requires further investigation.
