The truck somehow lost control coming down a hill, officials say. Witnesses apparently attested to the truck's horn blaring as it careened off the side of the road, possibly because Michaud was trying to warn other drivers. There, the truck then crashed and overturned. Michaud sustained fatal injuries as a result. No one else appeared to be hurt.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing. Right now, authorities say that the cause of the crash may be related to brake failure. This has yet to be confirmed, and other potential contributing factors are still under investigation by authorities.
