Melissa Jones Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident on C.R. 244 in Brazoria County, TX

Brazoria County, TX — December 8, 2023, Melissa Jones was killed in a single-vehicle accident around 7:21 a.m. on C.R. 244 in Brazoria County.

Authorities report Melissa Jones's Toyota Sienna was eastbound on C.R. 244, about three miles to the west of Hwy. 288, when Ms. Jones's vehicle somehow left the road on the north side, then began to rotate clockwise back across C.R. 244, left the road on the south side, and struck a tree.

Authorities report the weather was clear and that daylight was showing at the time of the crash, so authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
