According to officials, 42-year-old Claudia Garza was driving a Nissan Armada eastbound along International Boulevard. Garza apparently stopped for traffic while waiting to make a left turn. While stopped, a Ford Excursion rear-ended Garza's vehicle.

Due to the crash, both drivers and a 1-year-old in Garza's vehicle had injuries described as incapacitating. Police did not clarify a particular cause for the crash, and no further information can be confirmed at this time.

People may think it's not important to know why a crash like this happened when it seems pretty clear who's to blame. But there's a big difference between someone who, for example, reached to get something in the floorboard, someone who was drunk, someone who has a history of reckless driving, or someone experience an unexpected emergency like a medical condition or mechanical failure. Ultimately, it's important to know the whole story. Not only do those involved deserve some answers, but they can prove crucial when working toward ensuring there is accountability for what happened.
