Gerson Escobar Salinas Killed in Work Accident in Lancaster, TX

Lancaster, TX — October 17, 2022, Gerson Escobar Salinas was killed due to an accident involving electrical work along East Belt Line Road.

Officials with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration said that the incident took place in the 2300 block of East Belt Line Road. There is a Walmart Distribution Center in the area, but it's unclear where exactly the incident occurred.

According to OSHA reports, 36-year-old Gerson Escobar Salinas was doing electrical work the a lighting system electrocuted him. The cause of this incident and whether or not other workers were involved is unclear at this time.

In the investigation summary, OSHA listed Ace Electric, Inc. as the company under scrutiny. The statements listed at least two alleged violations which were said to have been contested. It's currently unclear at this time what has transpired between authorities and the company since OSHA filed their summary report.
