Kimberly Wright Killed in Forklift Accident in Wichita Falls, TX

Wichita Falls, TX — July 30, 2022, Kimberly Wright was killed as the result of a work accident involving a forklift along Central E. Freeway.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration statements in an online investigation summary show the incident took place at around 12:30 p.m. The company identified in the summary is GCA Services Group of Texas, L.P. The location was listed as 7400 Central E. Freeway, which Google Maps says is the location of Vitro Architecural Glass as well as Air Products & Chemicals, Inc.

It appears that 31-year-old Kimberly Wright was on her break and walking across a traffic lane. While doing so, statements say a forklift struck Wright, resulting in fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported. The statements say the location of the collision was "outside of the marked pedestrian pathway," but further specifics were not given.

The public OSHA report did not list any alleged standard violations, nor did it include any recommendations for potential fines. It's unclear at this time if anything has changed between now and the time of filing the public investigation summary. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
