Adonias Gonzalez Killed in Work Accident in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX — May 27, 2022, Adonias Gonzalez was hit by machine parts and died as the result of a work accident in Dallas.

Authorities said that the incident happened at around 9:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Singleton Boulevard, just off Barge Lane.

29-year-old Adonias Gonzalez was said to be working on a project involving drilling for fiber optic cables. While drilling, OSHA says the bit "jumped," causing it to strike Gonzalez in the head. This resulted in Adonias Gonzalez succumbed to fatal injuries. It's unclear if anyone else was hurt.

The company listed in the public OSHA statement is LJ Drilling. The statement lists five alleged rule violations and a suggested but currently unconfirmed penalty of at least $15,000. Details regarding the accident and actions taken against or by the company involved are unavailable at this time. Details from the company located on the property where the incident occurred are also unclear.
