Porras had incapacitating injuries due to the crash. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable.

I can't say I know anything about this crash not already publicly available, but something I do know is that just about every truck wreck like this warrants thorough accident reconstructions. As obvious as that may sound, a lot of people just assume that's what the police will do. But it would surprise people to see how often important details slipped through the cracks because authorities didn't have proper training, the right equipment, or just didn't devote enough time. And that's not to say the officers were in the wrong. Usually, it's their department pulling them to handle other "higher" priorities.

I certainly know if I or a loved one were in a serious crash, getting answers would be at the top of my list of priorities. I just hope authorities here were able to give the accident the attention it deserved and were able to get those involved here a more thorough explanation than what I'm currently seeing.
