Children, Adults Injured in Car Accident on RM 620 in Lakeway, TX

Lakeway, TX -- March 15, 2023, three children and two adults were injured following an accident along RM 620.

Investigators said that the accident happened at around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of RM 620 and Lohmans Crossing Road. The exact cause of the crash is unclear right now, but reports say two vehicles collided. As a result, three children and two adults were taken to the hospital. No further information is available.

A lack of public information isn't exactly unusual this soon after a crash, but I feel like details about accidents from the Austin and Travis County area are always about as bare-bones as this one. Is that just because authorities down there don't feel the need to share what they know to the public? Is it because the local media doesn't really care unless the crash is particularly serious? Or is it a sign these kinds of accidents don't get the attention they need?

So long as the victims and families are getting the answers they need, it doesn't usually matter what authorities do or don't tell the public after these accidents. But I can't help wondering if those steps are actually being taken.
