Rossi Felix Killed in Car Accident in Palo Pinto County, TX

Palo Pinto County, TX -- September 1, 2022, Rossi Felix was killed after an accident where his vehicle crashed off the side of the highway.

Investigators said that the incident happened just after 12:30 a.m. along Highway 16 near Highway 254.

It appears that 59-year-old Rossi Felix was in a Ford Focus traveling southbound along the highway. While rounding a curve, the vehicle somehow ran off-road and overturned. Due to this, Felix ultimately succumbed to fatal injuries.

Beyond this, no information can be confirmed at this time. Even several months after the crash, it's not exactly unusual to see so few details in the public. The unfortunate reality is people don't often give single-vehicle wrecks the attention they deserve. Despite all the reasons I know for a fact can cause serious wrecks like this, many tend to assume just a few factors likely occurred. Those certainly are common factors—namely speeding, fatigue, alcohol, and distracted driving. But what about mechanical issues? Tire defects? Road hazards? Hit-and-runs? If authorities are equally flippant and treat a crash as low on their list of priorities, they can easily overlook these more complex possible factors.

So how did they handle this crash? Were they thorough behind the scenes and simply withheld all they knew to respect the family's privacy? Or did they simply move on and leave a family to search for answers on their own?
