Marta Esquivias Killed in Fire Truck Accident in Rockford, IL

Rockford, IL — March 6, 2023, Marta Esquivias was killed in a collision with a fire truck around 11:15 a.m. on North Church St. in Rockford.

Crash investigators report Marta Esquivias's vehicle and the fire truck collided in the intersection of North Church St. and Whitman St., but no additional details have been released.

Emergency services arrived to transport Marta Esquivias to a hospital, but she later succumbed to the sustained injuries. No other injuries have been reported.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
