Wykem Regular, Andrew Robinson Sr. Injured in Car Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- January 22, 2023, Wykem Regular and Andrew Robinson Sr. were injured due to an accident where three vehicles crashed.

Authorities said they were called to the area of East Freeway and Lockwood Drive at around 3:48 a.m.

Their statements said that 41-year-old Andrew O'Neil Robinson Sr. was in a GMC Sierra while 52-year-old Wykem Regular was in a Ford SUV. Both vehicles were westbound on the freeway when the GMC crashed into the back of the Ford. After this, Ford Fusion then hit Regular's vehicle.

Regular was said to have incapacitating injuries due to the collision while Robinson's injuries were described as non-incapacitating. The third driver was not hurt, according to authorities.

The exact cause of the crash cannot be confirmed right now. When I see wrecks like this, I think of all the possibilities than occur—brake failure, medical emergencies, road hazards, mechanical defects, cell phone usage, other reckless drivers authorities failed to mention, etc. I know people are quick to just assume the rear-most driver is automatically to blame, but that's simply not how the law works. It is common for this all to happen due to something like distraction, speeding, or alcohol. Maybe that happened here, but I'm not going to jump to conclusions when I don't have all the facts, and I would discourage others from doing so, as well.
