Chris Larges Injured, One Killed in Truck Accident in Butte County, CA

Butte County, CA — March 7, 2023, Chris Larges was injured and another was killed in a truck accident around 3 p.m. on SR 99 in Butte County.

Crash investigators report a Toyota sedan driving on SR 99 crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a semi-truck. The impact reportedly caused the semi-truck's rear axle to break. The axel then reportedly entered the northbound traffic lanes, struck a Toyota pickup truck driven by Chris Larges, rebounded back into southbound traffic, and struck a Honda sedan.

Chris Larges's pickup truck was purportedly sent into a rollover accident.

Authorities report Chris Larges suffered moderate injuries and that the driver of the Toyota sedan suffered fatal injuries. Officials have not reported if the semi-truck driver of the Honda driver sustained any injuries.

The cause for the Toyota crossing into oncoming traffic is still under investigation, however, authorities have reported no investigation regarding the semi-truck's axle.
