Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident on NW 36th Street in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX -- March 9, 2023, a man was injured after an accident where a vehicle hit him along NW 36th Street.

Preliminary details about the accident say that it happened in the afternoon hours of Thursday off the corner of NW 36th Street and Freelawn Drive.

Right now, the exact circumstances surrounding the accident are unclear. Officials said only that a man was hit by a vehicle and sustained "critical" injuries. Police say that the "suspect" was in a Ford F-150. They did not release additional details.

It's not clear right now if this is being considered a hit-and-run or not. Police don't say that the vehicle left the scene, but they describe the driver as a "suspect." Is this just poor reporting, or are there charges pending here? I always talk about how early reports rarely tell the whole story, but these details are lacking, to say the least.
