Additional details about the incident can't be confirmed at this time. Some may think it's no big deal getting answers after a pedestrian incident. Did they have the right-of-way or not? As important as that is, it's not always so simple. There's also things like visibility, whether or not the victim was avoidable, defects with the crossing or missing lighting or signage, a history of pedestrian accidents local authorities haven't addressed adequately, etc. I certainly can't say if any of that played a role here without clear evidence, but it's important people understand why jumping to conclusions isn't going to get a family the answers they deserve.
