INDOT Worker Injured in Truck Accident in Howard County, IN

Howard County, IN -- March 8, 2023, an INDOT worker was injured as the result of an accident involving a semi-truck along US 31.

Officials said that the incident happened in the area of US Highway 31 and County Road 100 S. Lanes along the highway were blocked by an INDOT maintenance truck at the time. Somehow, a semi-truck crashed into the maintenance truck. The worker in the INDOT truck was taken to a hospital.

Right now, there's no information about potential charges or citations. One may think it's just a matter of time, considering a maintenance truck is usually pretty clear and easy to avoid. I wouldn't be surprised if this all was due to the semi driver just not paying attention or something else common like that.
