Alfonso Devante Hernandez Killed in Truck Accident in Balch Springs, TX

Balch Springs, TX — February 25, 2023, Alfonso Devante Hernandez was killed in a collision with a semi-truck around 8:53 a.m. on I-20 in Balch Springs.

Crash investigators report Alfonso Devante Hernandez's Hyundai Elantra was disabled in a traffic lane on I-20 facing eastbound when a Kenworth semi-truck rear-ended the Elantra. Alfonso Devante Hernandez was allegedly standing next to the Elantra at the time of the crash and the impact reported forced the Elantra to strike Alfonso Devante Hernandez. Then another passenger vehicle allegedly also hit Alfonso Devante Hernandez and did not stop to render aid.

Alfonso Devante Hernandez suffered fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported, and the driver of the second vehicle has not been found.
