Waggoner sustained incapacitating injuries due to the crash. No one else was said to be involved. Without further details, the cause of the crash can't be confirmed. Hopefully authorities have the equipment and training to consider even unusual circumstances such as mechanical defects or road defects. Too often, I see people just assume the victims in single-vehicle wrecks must have done something wrong.

As likely as that may be, there's never a bad time to educate oneself on just how complex a crash like this can be. Knowing what to look for can be a crucial step toward ensuring people get as much help as possible after a serious accident. The same could prove true here, depending on what further investigations uncover.
