Good Samaritan Killed in Hit-and-run Accident on North Loop 610 in Houston, TX

Houston, TX -- March 6, 2023, a Good Samaritan was killed after an accident where a vehicle hit them on Loop 610, then fled the scene.

Investigators said that the accident happened at around 7:25 p.m. in the area of North Loop 610 and Wallisville Road.

It appears that a 42-year-old man traveling on the highway stopped along the shoulder to help someone with a flat tire. While changing the tire, a vehicle crashed into the car with the flat, hitting the Good Samaritan in the process. That other vehicle then fled the scene.

The Good Samaritan died as a result of the collision. Right now, authorities have not given additional details. But that doesn't mean the driver that left the scene is off the hook. By keeping the details as public as possible, someone is bound to connect the dots and come forward with vital information. That's often how authorities are able to identify someone, find out why they ran, and potentially see they face a court date when necessary. I maintain hope that will happen here in due time.
