Mother, Children Injured in Hit-and-run Accident on LBJ Freeway in Garland, TX

Garland, TX -- March 5, 2023, a mother and her children were injured due to an accident where a vehicle hit them, then left the scene.

Garland Police officials said they were called out to the area of eastbound LBJ Freeway and the Northwest Highway in the afternoon hours of Sunday. Their statements say that a mother and her three children were in a vehicle going along the freeway. Somehow, another vehicle collided with them, then left the scene.

EMS transported the mother and her children to an area hospital, but it appears there were no serious injuries. The driver authorities continue to look for is said to have a maroon full-sized pickup with large tires.

Believe it or not, I've seen hit-and-runs with less available information reach a conclusion. It would surprise folks to see how often members of the community are able to connect the dots to co-workers, neighbors, cousins, friends, etc. Hopefully DFW proves to be the community I know it is by helping authorities however they can to find the driver responsible for all of this.
