It's obviously prudent to wait for police to provide clearer information about what happened before making any hasty assumptions. But sometimes, people underestimate just how challenging a commercial truck wreck can be. I've known plenty of officers who were thorough and exhaustive in their efforts.

I've known others, though, who weren't supported by their department, so they didn't have the right tools or training for some of the complex factors that can come up in a commercial truck wreck. That's when important details slip through the cracks, which can only serve to further harm the victims and families involved. My hope is authorities here have supervisors that understand the importance of taking these crashes as seriously as possible.
