The driver allegedly left the scene but has since been identified, arrested, and charged for accident involving personal injury or death. Another driver was apparently involved and left the scene. Police continue investigations.

Authorities seem to be taking steps to see one person answers for what happened here. Hopefully they're also taking steps to find out why they left the scene, since that could involve additional factors that need to be addressed. As to the other driver, keeping these reports in the public eye could be a crucial step toward someone connecting the dots so that driver, too, can face appropriate consequences.
